CAIA Newsletter ~ Winter 2019
Aquaculture Labour Market Update and Webinar
CAIA Members are invited to attend a webinar on the workforce in the aquaculture industry co-hosted by the Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council and The Conference Board of Canada on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Eastern. Register here.
We will present preliminary results from our labour market information (LMI) survey conducted in late 2018, review modelling results, discuss the economic outlook, and outline the resulting effect of growth in the sector on labour demand. Your feedback will assist us in finalizing a ten-year forecast of the aquaculture labour market to 2029.
We are limiting participation in each webinar to twenty participants to ensure that everyone will have the opportunity to participate. Each webinar will include an opening session to introduce project findings and discuss key/common elements and themes, followed by a question and answer session. As a result, the webinars will take into consideration the unique aspects of the farmed seafood subsector.
We believe that your participation in the webinar is a very important part in advancing Canadian agricultural labour market information. We would be delighted if you could join us.
Please register in advance here: Aquaculture Labour Update and Webinar
